First robot DJ unleashed to replace human DJs?

Machines are fast becoming replacements for manpower in several industries across the world with numerous inventions each year.

Key among these inventions are gadgets or devices that have been introduced in the world of entertainment.

The DJ’s turntable has seen incredible upgrade over the years with amazing features being added each and every time.

However, Disc Jockeys in the world might not be too enthused with the latest invention in the world of music.

A robot DJ – the new addition!

Yes! A club or event that has a robotic DJ might not need the services of your favorite Disc Jockey.

How sad!

In the early days of this year, Reuters reported that a club in Prague, Czech Republic installed a robot to play music to its clubbers.

The report revealed that the arm-shaped machine selects record with a pincer and can even throw a few shapes.

DJs need not panic yet because the robot DJ functions with the aid of a human programmer.

Club manager, Adam Lipansky disclosed that the robot serves as a major attraction point in the club and he sees greater prospects for the invention.

“People are excited [about the robot] Because they haven’t seen anything like this around Europe, and I am not sure if there is something similar in the world.”, he said.
In spite of this, a number of club patrons are not happy with the latest introduction.

Some say the robot DJ will not connect well with the crowd and might not feel their emotions to respond adequately with a selected song.

“It can’t feel what the people want to dance to. There is no emotion behind the music. When there is a real person, they know, what fun is like.”, one patron said.
