Top 11 Ghanaian DJ’s With Funny Names

Ghana is just about fun most times.

DJ’s in Ghana have been in existence for a long time now. We used to hear about them back in the days with those mobile entertainment outfits, what we call “spinners”. DJ’s for these outfits used to have some pretty hilarious names. I guess it was for recognition.
Radio, Pubs and Night clubs have introduced a lot more DJ’s to us but it looks like the trend of having some funny name has not diminished.
Somtimes you hear a DJ’s name and you go like, “REALLY”…….lol…. Below are 11 Ghanaian DJ’s with funny if not ridiculous names, leggoooo.

DJ Bakayoko

As to what this means, only he can explain. Information indicates that he used to play for one of those “spinning” outfits.

DJ Champagne

He even has two champagne bottles crossed on his Macbook. But seriously Champagne???

DJ Toffeeakwa

Tofiakwa or however way it’s spelt is a Nigerain word meaning, “May God Forbid” or something like that. As to why a DJ will choose to be called this name beats my imagination.

DJ Awana

I know Awana is game time for Baptists but apart from that I have no other meaning to it.

DJ Sapii – Hot FM

It doesn’t really have any meaning to us cos it’s not even a word.

DJ Vyrusky – Friday Friends

More like a swagged up word for Virus.

DJ Apiscololo – Crisberrys

This name cracks me up anytime I hear it. I guess it was his nick name back in school. Apiscololo paaaaaaa……..lol

DJ Roman Father – Sika FM

A Roman Father who is a DJ. Will he wear a robe?lol

DJ Sakawa – Sweet Pub (kumasi)

Sakawa is the local term for internet fraud, so for a DJ to choose this as his name is something that beats our understanding.

DJ Atopa (Karldorf)

Atopa means twerk or gyrate …… now tell me if it’s even appropriate to be called that……lol
